Setting-up Process
To set up this template you will need to have an account on Notion and a paid account with Super.so
On Notion
- Duplicate Fern Notion page HERE
- Then, at the top right of the Notion page click Duplicate
- If prompted, log in to Notion and choose a workspace
- Then you should see it appear in your Notion Sidebar
Once you’ve got the template in your own Notion workspace you need to get the Notion Share URL so Super can transform it into a website.
- Open the page you just duplicated in Notion
- On the top right corner press Share > Toggle the Publish button > Copy web link
On Super
- Create a new site and name it
- Paste the link on the Notion Page URL section then press Continue.
you will find the design doesn't look the same as the template - don’t freak out, you haven't done anything wrong. Paste the code snippet underneath in the Site Settings > Code > Head Then press ‘Save’

Full Width
You have the option of making the template Full width like Fern’s homepage.
All you need to do is go on the top right corner on Notion > select the (…) > and toggle Full width

Disable Page properties
By default, Super has ‘page properties’ enabled by default for database pages. For the Fern template I’ve integrated these properties into the design. However, if you prefer to disable them, simply follow these steps:
Navigate to Super’s toolbar on the left-hand side select the Options tab, under Page Properties, set it to Disabled.
Theme Toggle
Enable it if you want the Theme Switch shown on the Navbar.

Option 2: manually setting up the theme
Design Tab on Super
To customize a template on Super.so to align with your brand's colours, fonts, layout, database, navigation, and footer, follow these step-by-step instructions:
Go to the Design tab on Super’s toolbar on the left hand side.
Typography
In the Design page of the site editor you can choose a font from a list of Google fonts to be used on your site. Here is mine.
Colors
A list of color themes can also be accessed from the Design tab > Colors. The options include Super's default and dark mode themes. You can choose and edit the colours of your website easily.
Layout
Go to the Design tab on Super’s toolbar on the left hand side > Layout were you can customise the callouts in the template.

*The Container width only works for notion pages that have Full-width toggled off.
Blocks
Go to the Design tab on Super’s toolbar on the left hand side > Blocks were you can customise the callouts in the template.
Databases
Go to the Design tab on Super’s toolbar on the left hand side > Databases were you can customise the gaps between cards and title sizes.

Gallery Databases on Notion
There are 3 different Gallery displays with different sizes shown on Fern. To Pick the one you like you just have to toggle and choose a few things.
Small Gallery
To make your own gallery all you need to do is Type ‘/’ and select gallery view from the pop up menu and select ‘new gallery’. after adding all your images and information then you can specify which gallery layout you want by selecting the Layout option of the database, make sure to select Small (in this case) next to card size, and disable the Show database title.
Medium Gallery
the same Steps as the section above (Small Gallery) just make sure to select Medium next to card size, and disable the Show database title.
Large Gallery
the same Steps as the section above (Small Gallery) just make sure to select Large next to card size, and disable the Show database title.

Featured Posts
To limit the homepage to display only four posts, simply select the "Feature" option on the posts you want to appear. *The Featured property doesn’t show up on the post because it’s set to hidden on Notion plus the links property if left empty it will not show up on the post/article/case study.

How do I add specific styles to the button?
For Buttons
To add the green button style to your content you need to do as follows:
Type "/" in the editor and select Button from the options > Enter the text you want to appear on the button > Under the "Do" section, select "New action".
Choose what the button should do when clicked.
- For this example, select "URL" to make the button redirect to a link.
Navbar - Email Me Button on Super.so
You can link that button to your email by:
Navigation tab > Navbar > Call to Action > Click URL > add title

How to change the colour of the button?
You can easily change the colour of the button by clicking on the three dots on the left of the button on Notion
Click on Color then change the background colour by selecting the colour of your choosing.
